How much does a sauna cost in the UAE?
A prefab indoor sauna costs AED 13,999 to AED 35,500 in the UAE (October 2026). Infrared cabins start at AED 13,999, traditional cabins with a stove heater at AED 16,950 and outdoor cabins at AED 22,399. A sauna built to the room's size runs AED 45,000 to 120,000 installed. Two rows need a word. The hybrid row is a five-person cabin; a traditional heater can also be added to an infrared build as an AED 2,500 to 4,000 upgrade. What does a sauna heater cost on its own?
Only relevant if an installer is building the room, but it shows how little of a cabin's price is the heater. When you build to size, we ask every installer to name the heater and its kW, so you can set it against this table.

What moves a sauna cost inside a band?
- Size. Infrared cabins are priced by seats, from AED 14,950 for one person to a typical AED 22,399 to 25,500 for four or five. A heater is sized by the room's volume, so a bigger room means a bigger heater and a heavier circuit.
- Seats in a stove cabin. A four-person traditional cabin with a 6 kW heater costs AED 24,500; a five-person corner cabin AED 35,500.
- Installation. Delivery and installation are usually inside the price of a prefab cabin. Every offer we bring you says whether they are, so you compare like with like.
- Electrics. A stove sauna needs a separate final sub-circuit under DEWA Regulation 4.6.5. A stove-heated outdoor cabin also needs a dedicated cable run by a qualified electrician, a separate job from the cabin, and we ask every supplier whether their offer covers it.
- Outdoor build. Outdoor cabins start at AED 22,399, against AED 16,950 for an indoor stove cabin.
What does a sauna cost to run?
Little next to the purchase. A worked example, not a bill: at DEWA's October 2026 rates (a slab tariff of 23 to 38 fils per kWh, a 6 fils fuel surcharge and 5% VAT), a 6 kW heater at full output for one hour costs AED 1.83 to AED 2.77, a 9 kW heater AED 2.74 to AED 4.16, and a 2,105 W two-person infrared cabin AED 0.64 to AED 0.97. The prices above are UAE-wide, and free delivery across the UAE is common for prefab cabins. We confirm the price for your emirate in every offer. What does change is the power bill: Abu Dhabi's distribution company charges expat villas 26.8 fils per kWh up to an average of 200 kWh a day, and Etihad Water and Electricity uses the same 23 to 38 fils slabs as DEWA with a 5 fils surcharge. - A cabin is a fixed product; a built room is a construction job sized to the space, with lining, benches, a heater sized to the volume and new electrics. An 11 m³ room with a 9 kW heater costs AED 65,000 to 110,000 installed.
- What does the heater cost on its own?
- Harvia heaters of 4.5 to 9 kW cost AED 1,304 to AED 4,500 in the UAE. That matters for a built room; prefab cabins include the heater.
- Is a hybrid infrared and traditional sauna worth the extra?
- A five-person hybrid cabin costs AED 48,000, and a traditional heater can be added to an infrared build as an AED 2,500 to 4,000 upgrade. It is worth it if you want the steam from the stones as well as infrared heat; the comparison sets the two side by side.
- Do prices differ in Abu Dhabi or Sharjah?
- Sauna prices are set UAE-wide rather than per emirate, and free delivery across the UAE is common for prefab cabins. We confirm the price for your emirate in every offer.
