How it works

How do we get you the best ice bath tub offer?

  1. Send us the tub you want

Inflatable or hard, chiller now or ice for now, indoors or out, the emirate and your budget for the ice bath tub. One WhatsApp message is enough.

  2. We reply within 5 minutes

We ask what decides the price, mostly whether a chiller comes now or later, then put your job to suppliers who sell that kind of tub.

  3. Suppliers compete for your job

Their offers come back to you in one place, and we tell you which one is the best deal and why.

  4. You choose, or you say no

You buy directly from the supplier you pick, at their price, with nothing added by us. You are never obliged to buy.

The prices

Ice bath tub prices: what should you pay?

An ice bath tub is the cheapest way to plunge at home, and in a UAE summer the easiest one to get wrong. Tell us where it will stand and how you plan to cool it, and we get you offers on a tub that suits the spot, with a chiller now or room for one later. Every other type is on our cold plunge Dubai page.

How much does an ice bath tub cost in the UAE?

An ice bath tub costs AED 2,500 to 3,498 in the UAE for an insulated hard tub without a chiller, and AED 224 to 2,999 for a portable or inflatable one. With a chiller and filter, bundles start at AED 7,950, and a 1 HP chiller bought alone costs AED 7,000 to 12,500. These are the prices we hold every offer against, and the plunge prices page breaks them down by size and finish. Send us your budget and we get you offers inside it.

Which ice bath tub fits your budget?

Pick the row closest to what you want and send it to us. We come back within 5 minutes and get you offers on that type. The gap between the rows is mostly the chiller: inflatable pods fold away and cost the least, hard barrel and oval tubs are sold with the chiller as a separate item, and bundles arrive with the chiller and filter already matched to the tub.

The cheapest tubs are sold online, often with nobody to call if a seam leaks, so we ask every supplier who delivers and who answers after the sale. The AED 2,999 inflatable comes with delivery and installation handled for you. Second-hand tubs turn up in UAE classifieds too, at asking prices in October 2026 from AED 120 for a portable tub to AED 5,000 for a stainless one. Every other plunge type, from all-in-one units to commercial tubs, is in our price guide.

Can an ice bath tub stay cold through a UAE summer?

Not on its own, and it is the first thing we raise when you tell us the tub will be used from June. A tub with no chiller is only as cold as what goes into it, and here the starting point is warm. The National Centre of Meteorology puts Dubai airport's August average daily maximum at 41.5°C and the average August night at 30.9°C. Summer sea temperatures off Dubai approached 35°C in a 2014 study of the coast, and no utility publishes a figure for summer tap water from rooftop tanks. Getting from there to the 10 to 15°C range Cleveland Clinic suggests for beginners takes ice, every session, from June to September.

  • Keep the lid on and the tub in shade. A terrace in direct sun warms the water you just paid to cool.
  • Stand it indoors if you can. An air-conditioned room, garage or gym corner is the cheapest insulation there is.
  • Buy a chiller-ready tub even if you start with ice. We get you offers on tubs made to take a chiller, so adding one later does not mean buying a second tub.
  • Plan the drain. Without a filter, the water gets changed by hand, and each refill starts warm again.

If buying ice through August does not appeal, renting a tub with a 1.5 HP chiller costs from AED 1,800 a month, and it shows you whether the habit lasts before you spend AED 7,950.

Get a tub that stays cold in summer

Adding a chiller to an ice bath tub, now or later

Add one when you plunge through the summer, or when the tub lives outside. A chiller holds a set temperature and filters the water, and several sold in the UAE list a 3 to 42°C range, so the same unit warms the water in winter. The cheapest are 1/3 HP units sold online at AED 1,967 to 3,538. A 1 HP unit costs AED 7,000 to 12,500. Bundles start at AED 7,950, so adding a AED 7,000 chiller to a AED 2,500 tub, AED 9,500 in all, costs more than buying the bundle in the first place. That is why, when you tell us you want a chiller, we get you bundle offers first.

Then the rating. We ask every supplier what air temperature their chiller was rated at, because DEWA designs Dubai equipment to work at 48°C in the shade. Active Aqua measures its 1 HP chiller's output at 36°C ambient and approves it for indoor use only, while Plunge, the US maker, rates its Pro Chiller Gen 2 to hold 3°C at 49°C ambient. Cheap online listings rarely state an ambient rating at all. Our cold plunge chiller page covers sizing, ratings and the circuit, and the all-in-one plunges on our homepage show the integrated route from AED 18,999.

Where your tub can stand: villa, apartment, balcony

At a Dubai villa, the Municipality's private pool guideline counts portable pools, hot tubs and "any structure" for bathing that can hold 300 mm of water as a swimming pool, registered before installation and fenced with a permanent enclosure. Ice bath tubs are not named, but the wording appears to cover them, so we confirm the position for each job before you buy. Your community may ask for its own approval too: Dubai Holding Community Management's 2026 rules cover any installation on a plot, structural or not.

In an apartment, weight comes first. The Dubai Building Code takes water at 10 kN per cubic metre, so a tub filled to 600 mm puts about 6 kN on every square metre it covers before anyone climbs in. Whether a balcony slab takes that is for the building's structural engineer, and the DHCM rules need written approval for any balcony alteration. Electrics come next. Plunge asks for its tubs to stand at least 1.5 m from outlets, DEWA requires 30 mA protection on socket circuits and IP55 sockets outdoors, and a chiller added later needs its own supply. If you want the plunge set into the ground instead, that is a built-in cold plunge, with pool rules of its own.

Still deciding between a tub and a full plunge? Our ice bath comparison sets the two side by side, and time and temperature covers how cold and how long, from the published health guidance. When you know what you want, one message to us is enough.

Questions

What buyers ask about ice bath tubs

Is it really free?
Yes. You pay nothing to us, ever. The supplier you buy from pays us a commission when the sale closes, and you pay the supplier's own price with nothing added by us.
How fast do you reply?
Within 5 minutes. Send us the tub type, where it stands, the emirate and your budget, and we come straight back with the questions that decide the price.
Why not buy a tub online myself?
You can. We save you the comparing and the guesswork: one message, offers from suppliers who compete for your job, and our view on which is the best deal, based on what tubs sell for in the UAE. The cold plunge cost page shows the bands we hold every offer against.
Is an inflatable ice bath worth buying?
As a way to find out whether you will plunge regularly, yes, from AED 224 online. Choose one sold as chiller-compatible, at AED 799 to 1,607, so a chiller can be added later without replacing the tub. A hard tub, from AED 2,500, is the sturdier long-term option.
How long should I stay in an ice bath?
Cleveland Clinic says a session should never go longer than five minutes, suggests beginners start at 10 to 15°C, and advises never going below 4°C. A 2016 meta-analysis on soreness after exercise found the best results at 11 to 15°C for 11 to 15 minutes, longer than that five-minute cap. Our ice bath timing page compares the two.
Who should check with a doctor before using one?
Cleveland Clinic advises talking to a provider first if you have heart disease, high blood pressure, diabetes, peripheral neuropathy, poor circulation, venous stasis or cold agglutinin disease, or are pregnant, and warns cold immersion "can be dangerous for people with heart conditions, hypertension or elevated stroke risk". The NHS advises people with Raynaud's to "try to avoid sudden changes in temperature". Harvard Health's sauna guidance says to avoid alcohol before and after.
Can I add a chiller to any ice bath tub?
Only to a tub made to take one. Several inflatables are sold as chiller-compatible, and the hard barrel and oval tubs sold in the UAE take a chiller bought separately. A 1 HP chiller costs AED 7,000 to 12,500. We ask the supplier which chillers fit the tub before you buy either.
Do I need a permit for an ice bath tub at a villa?
Dubai Municipality counts any bathing structure that can hold 300 mm of water as a swimming pool, registered before installation and fenced. Ice bath tubs are not named, but the wording appears to cover them, so we confirm the position for each job, along with any community approval.
Can I put an ice bath tub on a balcony?
Only after the building's engineer has checked the slab. Water weighs 10 kN per cubic metre under the Dubai Building Code, so a tub filled to 600 mm puts about 6 kN on each square metre it covers. DHCM communities also need written approval for any balcony alteration and ban air-conditioning equipment on balconies.
Is an ice bath tub the same as a cold plunge?
The two terms overlap. In shops, an ice bath tub usually means a tub you cool with ice, and a cold plunge usually means a unit with a chiller holding the temperature. Our plunge or tub page goes through the differences.
