What is a typical cold plunge price in the UAE?
A cold plunge costs AED 18,999 to 40,000 in the UAE with the chiller built in. A tub with a separate chiller costs AED 7,950 to 14,999, and a hard tub with no chiller starts at AED 2,500. Do prices differ in Abu Dhabi, Sharjah and Ajman?
The prices above are not split by emirate, and many offers include delivery and installation anywhere in the UAE. What changes at the border is the cost of getting there and the electricity: a rental can carry a delivery charge of AED 250 to Sharjah and AED 500 to Abu Dhabi. Power is billed by DEWA in Dubai, TAQA Distribution in Abu Dhabi and Etihad Water and Electricity in Ajman, each at its own tariff. We confirm the installed price for your emirate in every offer, and each emirate page sets out its own utility, rules and places to try a plunge:
- Abu Dhabi: TAQA Distribution tariffs, pool and wiring rules, and studios to try first.
- Sharjah: SEWA supply, what Sharjah publishes on pools, and one studio in Muwaileh.
- Ajman: Etihad Water and Electricity tariffs and Ajman's maintenance permit.
What moves a cold plunge price?
- Where the chiller sits. A separate chiller beside a tub starts at AED 7,950 for the pair; built into the cabinet, the all-in-one band starts at AED 18,999.
- Chiller size. A 1 HP chiller alone is AED 7,000 to 12,500, a 1.5 HP unit AED 10,500 to 12,000, and a 3 HP commercial unit AED 24,000.
- The shell. Portable tubs start at AED 224, hard tubs at AED 2,500, and cedar, stainless or acrylic designer tubs with a chiller at AED 17,500.
- Use. One maker rates its all-in-one bath for homes or fewer than 10 users a day; a commercial stainless plunge with ozone is AED 38,000.
- What is included. Some prices include UAE delivery and installation; others add them at checkout. We ask for both as separate lines.
Saunas move on type and size: an infrared cabin for two from AED 13,999, a traditional cabin from AED 16,950, an outdoor cabin from AED 22,399, and a room built to measure from AED 45,000. Hot tubs move on seats and pumps, from AED 18,999 for two seats to AED 97,450 for an eight-seat premium spa.
What must an offer show before you pay?
We ask every supplier for these six lines before an offer reaches you, so you compare like with like:
- The chiller's horsepower and the highest ambient temperature it is rated for. DEWA designs for 48°C in the shade; common chillers are rated at about 36°C.
- Whether delivery, installation and the electrical connection are in the price.
- Who files DEWA's approval for the extra load, and who pays for the new circuit.
- Who registers a plunge pool or hot tub with Dubai Municipality where the 300 mm rule applies.
- Whether VAT is included. Most UAE prices do not say, so we ask for it as its own line.
- The warranty on the chiller and on the tub, separately, and what a service visit costs.

- How much does an ice bath cost in Dubai?
- From AED 224 for an inflatable tub with no chiller to AED 46,325 for an imported premium plunge. A hard ice bath tub starts at AED 2,500, a tub with a separate chiller at AED 7,950, and an all-in-one plunge with the chiller built in at AED 18,999, all UAE retail prices from October 2026.
- Why does one plunge cost AED 2,500 and another AED 40,000?
- The chiller. A tub alone is as cold as the ice you put in it; a chiller keeps the water cold on its own. A tub with a separate chiller starts at AED 7,950, and all-in-one units with the chiller built into the cabinet run from AED 18,999 to 40,000. Chiller horsepower and the shell material are the two specs we compare for you.
- Do these prices include VAT?
- Assume not unless the offer says so. Most UAE prices do not state VAT, so we ask every supplier to show it as its own line.
- Do prices include delivery and installation?
- Sometimes. Many saunas and plunges are priced with UAE delivery and installation included; others add them at checkout, and a rental can carry AED 250 for delivery to Sharjah and AED 500 to Abu Dhabi. We ask for both as separate lines.
- Is renting a plunge cheaper than buying?
- For a few months. Ice bath rental starts at AED 1,800 a month for an inflatable tub with a 1.5 HP chiller, with three months recommended, against AED 7,950 to buy the cheapest tub with a chiller. Four months of rent cost AED 7,200 with VAT included; the bundle price does not state VAT. See renting a tub.
- What do used plunges sell for?
- Asking prices on a UAE classifieds site ran from AED 120 for a portable tub to AED 17,500 for a wood-finish ice bath in October 2026. They are asking prices, not sale prices.
